So I posted recently about buying new wheels, but it got saved as a draft and then when I actually published it, it was posted in the past so…thanks Kinja!

Kinja'd!!!

In any case, new wheels are here and finally mounted. Love how they look, and for the price seem to be a great deal from a pretty reputable brand (these are Sparco ProCorsas in 17x7.5).

Nice to have them finally on and the winter tires kicked off and the super sports on for spring and summer driving.

Dirty car, excuse!

That is a nice looking set of wheels.

As for your original post, kinja usually sets the timestamp for whatever time you started the post. So if you start a draft today, save it, and hit publish in a month it will still post on March 25. You can change that by clicking on the date and time while editing. You can even change it after you post it to bump it forward in time.

Good to know, had no idea you could do that. Thank you! I drafted it a few weeks back, but for some reason it wouldn’t post. Thought I had lost it and then last week or so realized it was still in my drafts, so updated and published it - but was date stamped way back to the original date.

That's also how you can schedule posts for the future. When I'm drafting Fur Face Friday, I type it up on Thursday, set it for Friday at 11am, click "schedule" and then it just appears on Friday.

Fur Face Friday is awesome, thank you for taking the time to do that!

Will they take BMW centercaps? You can get some {ahem} aftermarket caps on eBay for next to nothing and the setup will look basically OE.

Props for going with 17s - I love  the look of the 135s, but they are somehow super soft and super heavy at the same time. 17s are a perfect size for the E46, too

That’s the next on my to-do list. Will need to poke around and do some measuring to see if I can find a center cap that fits.

Yeah, this car lost its 135s somewhere along the way before I bought it . I love the look but I’ve heard exactly what you said...and the car came with brand new 17" pilot super sports, so I couldn’t justify tossing them for heavier wheels AND needing to buy new tires in the process too. I like having some sidewall anyway, so glad I stuck with it.

Have a set of these for my FiST summer wheels. Really like them. Have you ever found a reliable weight spec? I think they are a bit on the heavy side.

I think Tire Rack had it at 22lbs or something like that? Way lighter than the wheels that came on the car that will now be my dedicated winter set (stock E46 330xi wheel), can’t complain.
